This policy is in place to ensure that the operational standards of London And Home Counties Fire Protection employees, whether they
are full time, part time or sub contractors are treated equally and fairly irrespective of gender, race, sexuality, colour, ethic

carry out their duties) or gender reassignment.The following steps are in place to meet the above statement
oAll persons will be treated with dignity and respect, Harassment and unlawful discrimination will not be tolerated under any circumstances.London And Home Counties Fire Protection operates a zero tolerance approach to the above.
oAny complaints regarding sexual harassment, racist remarks, victimisation or discrimination will be dealt with and investigated in
a private and in a confidential manner.
Harassment includes (but is not limited to) verbal insults or ridicule, graffiti, slogans,
racial comments, any unwanted sexual advance made verbally, physically or by gesture, or shunning of individuals, or applying different
or unreasonable standards - that, intentionally or not, have the effect of violating a person's dignity or creating an intimidating,
hostile, degrading or offensive environment.
oLondon And Home Counties Fire
Protection recognises its legal obligations under The Race Relations Act, The Sex Discrimination Act, The Equal Pay Act and The Disabled
Persons Employment Act.
oEnsure that any person who is in our employ is shown, and
understands this policies objective.This policy may be distributed outside of the company if required.
oComply with the Code of Practice of the Commission for Racial Equality.
oComply with
the Code of Practice of the Equal Opportunities Commission.
All employees are responsible for their own actions and involvement
in the adoption of this policy.
