All of our fire blankets are certified to BS EN1869. Models feature a capsule design that protects the blanket from exposure
to contaminants such as grease. Compact and strong with quality silicon coated material for enhanced performance..
Due
to recent issues with fire blankets, a statement has been released industry wide that clearly states that blankets
must not be used to cover class F risks, that is fires involving cooking oils and fats. Class F risks can only be
covered using Wet Chemical Extinguishers.
Guidance from the Fire Industry Association instructs
that unless a discard date is stated on the casing the maximum life of a fire blanket is 7 years from install.
