London and Home Counties Fire Protection was founded in February 1992 and became Extinguisher Doctor Limited in 2015. The company's principal market is in the supply, service, routine inspection, refilling, recharging, and renovation of portable fire extinguishers and associated products. From our base in Mid Kent, we are located conveniently to cover Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Essex, and London.
Extinguisher Doctor offers cost-effective service and prides itself on its quality, the very high standard of workmanship, and excellent ongoing customer support. It is committed to training and continuous improvement among its staff, investing in their development to ensure that knowledge and skills are kept up to date. In fire extinguisher maintenance, we are among very few companies with the knowledge and the expertise to service, recharge, repair, and overhaul fire extinguishers. Continued company growth proves it works. 2021 will mark our 29th year in business, making Extinguisher Doctor one of Kent's longest established independent fire extinguisher companies.
The company has a comprehensive insurance cover, including public liability, product liability, wrongful advice, and failure to fulfill (efficacy). All company personnel are CRB checked to ensure both yours and our peace of mind.
Extinguisher Doctor is a member of The British Fire Consortium, The UK Fire Association, The British Safety Council, Safecontractor Scheme, Constructionline, and The Contractors Health And Safety Scheme. These memberships demonstrate we keep up to date with fire protection-related legislation, codes of practice, and health and safety legislation.
Extinguisher Doctor also holds a waste carriers license, which legally allows us to help you dispose of your old fire extinguishers.
Throughout Kent, Sussex, and Surrey, Extinguisher Doctor maintains fire extinguishers in properties from cathedrals, small rural churches, farms, schools, shops, offices to national organisations and local government departments.
Our registered technician's service and recharge fire extinguishers where ever possible and do not just try to sell new fire extinguishers as has become the normal practice of fire extinguisher companies today. All technicians are trained and certified to the requirements of BS 5306 pt 3.
All the items sold are sourced from selected UK and European suppliers, most items carry a full five year no quibble warranty, our fire extinguishers are manufactured to BS EN3, carry the CE mark, BSI Kitemark, are BAFE approved, most are MED approved and carry the ships wheel logo. Further to this, they will be delivered by a qualified service technician who will commission the fire extinguishers at your premises free of charge.
Our memberships to fire trade associations, third party health and safety accreditation schemes, carrying full insurance, and having CRB checks are some of the ways of proving to our customers our commitment to service and quality.
